Wheelstanding AMC Funny Cars! Not so funny now!

As I took a break from some early morning studying, I got my Cherrios and 
turned on the TV.  I went back to channel 33 Speed as I was watching in 
facination of the Barret Jackson auctions the last two days. (Was cool to 
see a Hudson go for broke AND hear mention the reference to the Hudson 
Dealership still in Ypsilanti!), when all of a sudden I was in the midst of 
the Lucas Oil Wheel Standoff program!!!!!
And the Gremlin was just finishing.  Well, I realized old age when I 
couldn't figure out the VCR to tape it.  BUT the Spirit was up next and the 
completion of round 2 was shown.  They showed the jumpon Spirit 5 times and 
interviewed the driver.  Then the Gremlin took another run and could have 
won if not for the wild ride of the Spirit.  He came back up to the crowd 
and the headlights were hangin!
I thought the photos were awsome, but to see the actual video, it the next 
best thing to being there.  I can't believe how many times since I found my 
AMC (10 years now) that I have been lucky enough to come across a show, by 
chance.  Must be some built in AMC antenna!

Well I went to Speedtv.com and it will be aired AGAIN tonight, January 2nd 
at 8:00pm on Speed channel.  Hopefully by then I can get the VCR figured 
out.  Thank God for a second chance.  Hopefully everyone will get a chance 
to see a once in a lifetime show and AMC's in action!
