Happy New Year to everyone. The other day I had two cars not show up for a scheduled studio shoot so I called up a car detailer and had him give my '64 440 convertible a very quick once-over and rolled it in to the studio for a 30 minute session. You can take a look at the results at:

I also realized that I have the Dutch version of the Breedlove AMX story that's now appearing in the February issue of Musclecar Enthusiast posted there (it's image #60) so if you'd like a sneak peak of the story that should be reaching MCE subscribers about now, you can take a look. The issue is scheduled to hit news stands next week.

I am currently looking for two items for my '64 ragtop; a white (preferred) or black boot (mine is frayed beyond repair) and the driver's side visor bracket that secures the visor to the windshield header. I believe this is a convertible specific part as it is different from the one on my '67 station wagon and '68 Rogue, both which are secured to the roof itself. Any help in locating either of these two items will be greatly appreciated.

I hope that everyone had a great holiday and that 2005 will be a great year for the AMC hobby. I think that between what Pat Foster at Hemmings is doing and what I already have on my plate (including a confirmed book project that I'll be telling the group about shortly, as soon as the contract is signed), 2005 promises the best year ever for AMC ink.

Happy New Year,

Richard Truesdell
