Listers,
I wonder if we could get the producers of this Full Throttle show to
give the more Performance oriented AMCs a turn. Maybe we could get them
to get off the ''ugly'' bit and give the AMCs another shot at proving
their mettle.
There are plenty of V8 cars out there to use. 304 would be easiest duo
to locate at decent price, but 360 cars should be fairly easy to locate
as well.
This show cannot be that worried over start up vehicler cost because
they have used some pretty pricey early Firebirds on the show. Just like
Camaros, they don't give the Pontiacs pony cars away either.
They can call the Gremlin Ugly all they want, but when it hit the
market, it was a new innovation. And to prove what a great idea in
design iot was, just look at all the ''cut back'' rear roof design cars
built After the Gremlin. Many, Many cars used that basic back half
design after AMC introduced it. Does that mean every manufacturer that
used the design built UGLY cars because they COPPIED AMC?? I think not.
Dick T. designed a great body style that the entire automotive world
like so much they produced copy after copy. Mopar[imports] copied it,
Volkswagon too. so, that Ugly design they mocked Mr. T. over made a
Bunch of money for the auto industry world wide.
Never owned a Gremlin of any sort. Just because the right car at the
right price at the right time never came along.
Let's get Another round of AMC show with these guys'
