Actually, I think we were (at least I was) waiting for some sort of a report from you, Randy. Don't you sell these heads? Don't you (or have someone) port and flow them? Back in August you reported stock vs. "Anyone could easily do this at home with cartridge rolls and a grinder" flow numbers that gave a gain of only 9-10 CFM, then we waited until November to hear that *real* ported numbers were only 4-5 CFM better than "Anyone" flow numbers. Whereas Indy SR heads have reported 50-60CFM improvements from porting (PHR Engine Challenge), where baseline is already better than the E heads. Now either the E heads can't be ported that well and no one is saying anything, or the flow numbers are better and no one is saying anything, or like you said, no one is really buying them. Heck, even Edelbrock is not posting ANY power numbers. The dyno sheet they have posted is 20-odd years old for a 304. Are they testing their own products? Or just applying the "it works for Chevy" method and giving us a product with the least amount of work on their part. Personally I'm holding out that the E heads will port out well, but I'm sure not gonna be the guinea pig. At some point soon I'll be buying a set of heads, intake, throttle body, and ECU. If I can get the package I'm looking for from Edelbrock, they'll get the sale, otherwise it's gonna be INDY. Sorry if it seems like I'm on a rant here, but I'm waiting for better info, too, so I can finally get my top end ordered.
