My neighbor's son is now a licensed driver (Ack!!) and I've assisted him in locating his first set of wheels (did ya think I'd let him buy a non-AMC??). It's an '87 Eagle wagon, 258/Auto with tilt, cruise, AC, PW, PDL, PS, PDB, Rr Wiper/Washer, Rr. Defroster, AM/FM/Cassette. White with navy trim and blue interior. It has some issues that need attention before we can start 'modifying' it a bit to give it a bit of youth- appeal. Any contact info for parts sources would be appreciated. TRANSMISSION LINES: Anybody still pre-bending these for us? FUEL TANK: Any new repros out there? Any with added capacity? Is there a stock AMC tank that'll 'bolt-in' and add capacity? COIL SPRINGS: Looking to raise the front half 2". Is ESPO the best bet for these? LEAF SPRINGS: Looking to raise the rear half 3". ESPO again? SHOCKS: With the mild lift planned, are longer shocks needed? If so, any recommendations? POWER WINDOW PARTS: Motors & cables...anybody have them? EXHAUST PARTS: A basic cat-back budget setup runs about $150. Is there a header available that works with the stock intake? The motor & trans are solid and the 4WD is working well. Naturally, he has delusions of grandeur in regards to off-roading it. As such, the plan is to stick with repair items first, let him break a few things, and when he's sick of throwing money in the mud, we'll get to prettying it up more (if he brings it back alive). Thanks in advance, John http://www.JavelinAMX.com
