IF the cam and chain are good and aligned, the harmonic is good and solid, and everything else is in good or passable shape the engine will run at straight TDC. I have set countless engines this way that were fiddled with. The engine will not run very well but it will run enough to start adjusting it. The last engine that I did this way was a Fomoco Falcon I6 that he "adjusted" over and over again. He finally called me up and wanted to start from square one. We did so and got her going. His dist was off by some 30 degs at idle. A Chryco question please; What was the last year for the push button tranny. He just picked up a clean little grannies Valient with a column shift, a 66. I was telling him about the push button trannys and could not remember the last year. I thought '65....Russ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - You care about security.
