HEDMAN HEADERS INSTALLATION STORY's WANTED

I am thinking about purchasing some hedman headers,,, i would rather wait 
for Edelbrock shorties without smog tubes, but i dont have three years.  I 
have heard several different stories about pros and cons of headers. 
Installation nightmares and drawbacks of more underhood heat changing spark 
plugs and on and on.  Are these worth the impulse?
