Wade,
The original AMC spacers are about 3/16 to a 1/4" thick. I don't think you can get wheel spacers that thin from the auto parts store. The last time I needed spacers (original spacers can be a little hard to find), I was going to try cutting them out of old (bad) rear brake drum centers. They are about the right thickness and they already have the lug pattern cut into them. All you would have to do is cut them in the right diameter. I never did try this idea so I am not sure if it would work. 

Has anyone tried this idea?
