Happy motoring vs. Happy engining

What about a search engine? Nothing mechanical there. They are electronic computer software, maybe they should be search motors? How about a vacuum motor, no electric there. Some people are hung up on the motor/engine thing, but who cares if it is called a motor, engine, mill, power plant, prime mover, or as a girl I once knew called it, that "thing under the hood."  I better quit or I will be branded a "motor mouth" or perhaps an "engine mouth."  
Happy motoring, or should I say "Happy engining?"
By the way, who designs motors, engineers? Maybe they should be motoreers.
