Can anyone recommend a better choice for a replacement carb for my 65
232? I have a stock 2 barrel on it right now (im not looking for
"matching numbers")
Any recommendations? Id prefer something i can get 'over the counter'
If you just want to drop one on take a look at the Weber 32/36 DGEV or
the 38 DGAS. The 32/36 is a progressive so it will help out on mileage
and help with power when you punch it. The 38 is a synchronous, meaning
both venturis open at the same time and rate. Won't help gas mileage as
much, but will give a bit more power. I put a 38 on my 258 and it made
a tremendous improvement. It's pretty expensive though, if you can find
one used it's probably a bargain. Also, the 38 might be a bit too big
for a 232.

Their site isn't that great for navigation but there's a lot of
information there, you just have to look for it. Hope this helps.
