FW: my 65 rambler... sounds like a dying cow. (long)



Since I haven't seen this mentioned yet (or I missed it); I have heard
"DYING COW" types of noises when the starter drive doesn't disengage from
the flywheel after the engine starts.    He said the starter was noisy; so
maybe it also has this problem.   Just a thought.

Well, could the cable with the braid be the auto trans kickdown cable. or
the other one? one could to be the accelerator pedal to carb throttle cable.
That shoudl be easy to check. looks like they both could use some lube. If
youo find out, let us know. I think I hae seen some cables in my parts lot
that look soething like that.
I also looked at your web site, but coulnt not get anything when I clicked
on the link for your car pics.
I will be in California for a meeting dec 7-13, long beach area and may have
free weekend time. anything amc going on then?
