Re: 73 AMX in the sunshine.

You can usually cover the holes with masking tape then drill (carefully) through the tape with out chipping the paint.

Bryan,

It's a fine looking car. You should be proud. I too
am putting a 73 Javelin back together now after a
repaint and got a tip from a body man the other day.
If your paint shop has partially filled the trim holes
with bondo/primer/paint, enlarge them carefully, like
with an appropriate size drill bit (hand held) so as
not to chip the paint too much. Then put some
silicone sealer in each hole before applying the trim
screw or clip to protect against rust and reseal the
paint.

Good Luck,

I finally had some sunshine to take some pictures
outside.
I have decided to paint some trees on the hood.

The roof, trunk and Hood have been polished.
The sides still need to be done.

I am pumped on this. Can't wait to reassemble.

Let me know what you think
Thanks
Bryan
