Re: Is this **THE** Matador Machine?

From: John McEwen <moparrr@xxxxxxx>

360 or 401 with four bbl. carb, dual exhausts, handling package,
power disc brakes, E60-15 Polyglass tires with raised white letters,
15 x 7" styled steel wheels and Space-Saver spare tire.

The 360 package cost $373 and the 401 version cost $461.10.

No mention is made of decals. Another interesting item is that the
401 came only with duals whether or not it was part of the Machine
group. Matadors were not available with bucket seats and had the
individual reclining seats. They could be had with a console and
floor-mounted three speed tranny. A four-speed tranny could be
ordered only with the 401 Go-Machine package.

I hope this is of some help.

==================

John,

Lots of wrong info here.

Buckets were available... in the 2-door hardtop only.

The 4-barrel 360 and 401 both had either an automatic
or a 4-speed. No three speed available (except with
the 232 six).

Duals were standard with any 401-4v, but the 360-4v
had single unless the duals were ordered separately
or with the 'Machine Go' pak.

No console available, but a center cushion/armrest
was included with the buckets if so ordered.
