By the way-

While Hornet, Javelin and Ambassador all had an 
SST variation in 1971, Matador did not. All were
simply 'Matador'. No DPL, No X, no nothing.

Most accurately, Brad's car is a 1971 Matador 
with the MACHINE GO pak.

Now, HERE'S a point and a question.

In support of the 1970 Machine, AMC would have 
maintained parts replacements for several years
after it was built. I know for a fact that the
original owner of my Hornet ordered a BRAND-NEW
Machine intake manifold for the Hornet in 1974 
or 1975...from the parts counter at the same 
dealer that he bought the car new from.

I'll ask Brad directly, but do you suppose the
'71 Machine Go pak included a Machine-specific 
intake? Hmmm.....
