None of the "gen 2" sixes use an integral int/exh, far as I know. On the old iron manifolds, they are bolted together to do that manifold heat thing, but you can remove the exh and put headers under it. The 80? -up manifolds don't bolt together, the int heating is water plus electric. EGR bolts onto the int, and there's a steel pipe from the exh into the EGR valve; it's easiest to remove them as a pair from the motor because of that pipe but you could undo it (1" wrench) and take out the intake. I'll takes some photos of my setup this weekend.
