Can't believe anyone paid $121.90 for a Mono AM/FM
radio, even back then!! An aftermarket unit with tape
was far less!

John,

Radios have been overcharged for a long, long time (check out how much they are in a new car now). On the other hand, factory radios seem to last much longer than aftermarket ones in a lot of cases so maybe they don't (call me Mr. Waffle!).

I have the sticker for my Rebel and it was $50.25 for just an AM push button radio on a $3012.65 sticker price.
