FYI UPDATE - Fram Air Hog air filter (too tall ... doesn't fit)

Hi everyone,
I purchased a new Fram Air Hog filter over the weekend, to install on my 1989
Jeep Grand Wagoneer, in its stock air cleaner housing. I double-checked and
re-checked to make sure everything was lined up and it was. The air cleaner
lid ended up having a 3/16" gap all the way around.

Suffice to say, upon attempted installation, it is too tall ... almost 3/16" of
an inch. The Air Hog filter measures 2 15/16" tall, while the stock
replacement Purolator filter measures around 2 3/4".

I just wanted to let you all know that the Air Hog filter won't fit.

=====
Sincerely,
Greg Taylor  :)   <><
