Thanks for your reply, Frank. Here's some more info to add to my original post. This is a dealer installed system (as opposed to factory-installed air), and instead of a York compressor, it has a Sanyo. What I am looking for are the fittings that go on the back of the compressor. Those need upgraded as well. The mechanic that's helping me and I have the R134a refrigerant and replacement seals, but I was hoping that there was a kit that also included the screw-in fittings. On the Sanyo compressor, they are pretty much side-by-side, which differs from the York. Any further help or leads on where I can locate the fittings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt C. The kit you need depends on the compressor type since it only replaces seals in the compressor. There should be a plate on the compressor somewhere stating what type it is. If you can't find a plate with a brand name and model number describe it here and someone should be able to help. If it looks like a small lawn mower engine that's easy -- it's a York. > > > On September 21, 2004 Matt Crawford wrote: > > > Does anyone know of a part number or source for an upgrade kit to convert a dealer installed R-12 ARA brand air conditioning system to the R-134? Do any of the AMC vendors carry these?
