Happy Birthday AMC Rambler Typhoon! FIFTY years old!

Introduced April 1st, 1964. Mostly forgotten birthday as many remember the 
Gremlin intro April 1st, 1970. Very nice looking lines on the Typhoon. 
Remembered mostly for Thomas J Coupe's comments about 'the only race we care 
about is the human race' when talking about horsepower wars cranking up in 
early 1960s and how Rambler was not going to get involved. However, secretly 
being toyed with in clay in their design studios...was the AMX in 1965. 
Anyways, the Typhoon was a 1 year only car. If you ever get to check out one 
of these yellow/black beauties at a meet, take the time to go over it, nice 
design lines, compact & stylish, still looks handsome even FIFTY years 
later. Salut!
