Thanks for the tip, Joe. I went out today and purchased a new directional
turn flasher as a start. I'll let you know what's up after that.
Are you going to make the Socalamx.net show this year May 30-31?

Before you do anything else make sure all your body grounds have good
connections. Check the light sockets too. Clean them and put some grease
in the sockets to help prevent corrosion. Then check your fuse panel.
Remove the glass fuses and make sure the ends are clean and the fuse
holders clamp tightly to each fuse. Pinch them together before
reinstalling each fuse if they are even slightly loose. Then test the
cicuits again. If you still have that problem it may be time to get out
the multimeter and test light and determine if you have a bad switch.
I just solved an electrical gremlin yesterday in my 77 Gremlin by doing
some of the above. In my case the turn signal fuse kept blowing whenever
the brake light came on. It's weird because the brake lights and turn
signals are powered by different circuits (but of course they act on the
same bulbs). Good luck.

Hi Guys,
Here's the problem: '68 AMX with original
headlight switch installed and directional turn signals work
only when the headlight switch is in the off position. When
the headlight switch is set to the "park" position
or the "on" position (when the headlights are on,
and they do work) the turn signals fail to work. Hazard
flasher works fine. Do I need to replace the headlight
switch? If so, who makes the best repop switch?
Thanks,
Steve
