Shoulde be fairly simple to keep a stock look too. Yup! Here's what I picture, schematically: 2" section of 1.5" OD steel pipe. 2 each identical flanges, bored for the thermostat hole (what's that, 1.5" or so?), with the milled step to hold the thermo edge. The usual two outside holes on the ears. Weld the pipe to ONE of the flanges. Two gaskets. Basically, you grind all the rush off the head portion, rough up and get greaseless that and the loose flange. Silicone or epoxy the loose flange onto the head. Never has to come off again (but it's just a water seal). Drop the new thermostat onto the new flange. Put the neck+flange on top with an ordinary gasket. Done! Only one part needs to be milled, quantity two per kit. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
