I would like to thank Jesse for bringing that information forward about Mahindra.  I did a Yahoo! search, and learned some very interesting things about the Indian produced Jeep.  Amazing when doing an Image search under the name Mahindra, as well!

Thanks Jesse!  I had NO idea AMC had an associate plant in India!
