A: I have what I think is a 70 amp Motorola (could be Motorcraft. I'll have
to look again to be sure) that was part of a dual alt setup on an '8? Ford
van I used to own and parted (the one with the manlift on it) I have it
complete with the extra harness and external regulator and for awhile I
thought about putting it in my '73 J4000, but I haven't gotten a round tuit,
so it's on my for sale pile (I have a Mopar Vee twin AC compressor I plan to
put in along with a 140 amp Delco to operate the extras I intend to put on
the truck one day)

" From: WILLIAM SERCKIE <realtorbill@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
" " Car Quest can get the correct Motorola rebuilt units within 2
to 3 hours and at a cost of only $49,00 with a $3.00 core
charge. These alternators are the correct fit as opposed to the
larger Delco units and come in a variety of amperages from 35 to
55. I have purchased one for each of my Ramblers and they
install and work flawlessly,
if you do have a moto, get the 55. they're all in the same
case and
they all use the same reg, so what's the point of smaller
output?
Especially when running AC and a bumpin' stereo!
Dang, now I wanna go rolling in the hardtop...
