Magnetized 258?!

OK, the latest with my 83 Eagle SX/4.  I was changing
the oil and when I went to put the dipstick back in I
noticed the tube was magnetized.  Tried it several
more times to confirm and it definitely is magnetized.
 What would cause this and what may be some of the
consequences?  How do I fix it?  THanks.
