Folks,
I am still completely stripping a 64 American 440
hardtop 196/auto, ps, manual brakes.
I am allowed by the junkyard manager to work on the
car on Mondays only. When I am through with each
session he puts the car back in the storage lot until
the following week. I purchased the whole car, so I
can take any and all of it, but it must be in pieces.
Several parts are spoken for, but I do have a complete
set of green door panels including the rear seat
panels and the hardtop sail panels. The windshield is
sold, but i do have the back glass. The gas tank is
like new and may be available. I pulled it yesterday
and it is shiny on top and otherwise covered in
undercoat.
Next week I will pull the drive train. The rear end
is spoken for but the rest is available. The car has
approximately 60,000 miles on it. I plan to pull the
PS steering gear and will have the PS brackets and
pump for the 196 available.
The following week I plan to cut the rear quarters
which are essentially perfect. The floor pans will
also be available as will the rear tail light panel.
I plan to leave the roof and the front suspension
parts behind unless someone wants them.
Email me off-list if you want anything. Prices will
be reasonable.
Regards,
Joe Fulton
