Auction in Missouri

I spent Saturday at the Sherm Smith car auction in Cape Girardeau, Mo.  Wearing my AMC T-shirt, I went seeing if there would be any Kenosha iron among the 300 or so vehicles auctioned.  A Metro hardtop (billed as a '50 model) went through before I got there.  I would say it was a 3- or 4+ car and should have brought around $2,000, but what do i know?  There was also a nice hunter green '69 Javelin SST, 390/4-speed.  It was apparently entered by a dealer in Indiana.  It sold for $17,000.  I would have guessed between $10,000 and $15,000, going in.  It was nice, but not perfect.  And finally, there was a '60 American 2-dr. out front on a trailer.  It's owner apparently had Rambler mentality as he didn't want to pay an auction fee!  It had auto and cont. kit and a $6,500 price tag, which I considered about $2,000 too much.  But if anyone's interested, the number is (618) 525-6346.  
Another thing: on ebay is a '62 Rambler sedan delivery.  This is the first one I've ever seen, and was not even sure one was ever made.  I think it's a shame that the owner didn't take the rarity into account before butchering it into a drag car.  Am I the only one who feels this way?  Opinions?
