On our 72 Hornet, the alt was good, but the voltage regulator
died. A local alternator shop had one; it was marked: F540 and
FORD GR-540. In use for a year now.
I have the pin number/wire color translations if you need it. If I
remember,. it didn't plug on, I used fastons.
