A: Sounds like it had a windshield leak or clogged vent drains.

Blahst! I picked up the SX4 Sport that I envisioned
being the final chapter in finding the ultimate SX4
for my son. When I first looked at it, I was amazed
that, being a Wisconson car there was absolutely no
rust on the floors, rear quarters or subframe rails
where they go up the floor board. Due to overgrowth,
I did not bother checking the front subframe rails
further up. So yesterday I went to bolt on the frame
plates for my tow bar and was shocked to find that the
subframe rails are completely eaten up on the outside.
I was hoping to just plop a tranny in it and get it on
the road, however, now it may be just a parts car. It
has decent black interior, f and r swaybars, good
glass, and absolutely solid body.... weird that there
is so much rust on the front rails and the quarters
are so nice.
So, has anyone ever replaced front subframe rails? I
have a couple of parts vehicles that could donate.
Thanks,
Jesse
