shipping a hood

Ray; i use Greyhound all the time for bumpers,
fenders, etc. They wouldn't take a hood last time I
tried, due the size limits. They have 105 inches limit
and my Javelin hood was something like a couple of
inches over. The train wouldn't tkae it either.
Trucking companies wanted $800, etc.
The guy was in Texas and I offered to drive it out
there, drive back hoodless. He just needed to pay gas.
It would have given me a chance to visit my sister. He
passed though.
The Hornet must have been under the limit cause they
wanted nothing to do with my Jav hood.....Russ
