Jim,

Edelbrock pulled some sort of switcheroo on the part numbers. When I 
verified my pieces were shipped, I used the part number that has been 
around and given out by Edelbrock . I was told the number I was being 
shipped was not that number. They did not have the superceded number to 
give me.

I think, but am not sure that the number change has to do with the 
coatings. The original number given for the Blasck Painted shorty 
WITHOUT smog tubes weas ditched because they are not going to build a 
Black Painted unit. The Black unit will be E-TEC coated, whatever that 
is. I believe this caused a Part Number Change.

As to the Ceramic piece without smog, since it has not been releassed 
there is no ''official'' part number. Any part number I gave you would 
be wrong until Edelbrock releases the piece. And siad release is near 
the end of January.

Just as soon as I get a real part numbert I will post it.

Oh yeah, something else besides the part number my Edelbrock rep could 
not tell me, the PRICE. I was told, too new, not yet in the computer. 
See no reason they should cost any more than the currect smog equipped 
models.

Proud to say on Smog models we got the panys beat off 4 WD Hardware ads. 
We get $309.00, they get over $400.00.
