The Chev in-line 6 dist is the same except the gear because the distributor turns opposite direction due to gear to gear vs timing chain and gears.

I’ve done a number of HEI swaps.

The body will probably be different too, with the distances between the oil pump, camshaft, and mounting spot being different.

The GM Pertronix electronic conversion kits are supposed to fit. I've not done it myself so can't say positively. :)
