A trunk lid is less than $100 to ship. If you are dropping it off at a Pak &
Ship, UPS Store or FedEx Office, yes, they box, pack and ship it and it will
be $300-$400. If you box it up, tape it, you can even ship it thru US post
office Standard Poste not big deal. And about $60 or less. however, should
you choose to ship it "freight" try Towne Aire or AAA Cooper, both
reasonable places I ship heavy, large or bulky items thru. Hell, I shipped a
401 from Houston to Chicago on wooden palate a few months ago $228 and a
Borg Warner T-10 4speed on wooden pallet strapped down to Tucson for $128. I
don't do Greyhound of Amtrack but others do and it is really cheap. If you
need box, go behind some sporting goods stores, exercise store, mattress
store and some good sized boxes to cut and tape.

Subject: [AMC-list] Need to ship a trunk lid... advice?
am buying a trunk lid in PA and I need to have it shipped to TX.
UShip.com is coming up with $300-400 prices. Anyone have a suggestion
for recommendation for a shipper that can ship for less?
