[AMC-list] 68 Rebel Brake Pedal Linkage

I posted this on the AMC forum, but just in case this reaches someone not
on there:)

Does anyone know if the bottom pivot spindle of the brake pedal linkage is
supposed to move? I have a feeling that the spindle should remain
stationary and the arm should pivot on it.  Mine appears seized - photos
attached.

I can't find anything in the 67 or 68 TSMs or online.  Thanks.
