I have some work to do on my daughter's Neon (water pump locked up!), then will pull my rambler in the shop for some long awaited work -- three core radiator so it doesn't overheat in July and August with the AC running full blast, and rubber mounts for the Jag rear axle. Over 50 mph there is a good bit of road and mechanical noise coming up into the passenger compartment. It's been that way since I put the Jag IRS in (solid mounted the diff to the crossmember, which is solid to the body), but not bad enough to worry much about. Well, that was 10 years ago, and I can't help but think the car would be so much nicer without that noise. Finally going to do it this year! Will rubber mount the crossmember in the car using motor mounts on the ends with rubber traction bar snubbers up top as a safety support.
