________________________________ great pic of the dealership. mmm wonder how i can get one of those ties? in the 70s i delivered auto parts to jobbers all over northwest ohio and southern michigan. many little towns had small AMC dealerships, a dozen cars or so parked around a small sales office and a garage. There was a big dealership like this one on Reynolds Road on the west side of Toledo. ------------------------------ Message: 2 Fred Fincher American-AMC Dealership, Miami, FL http://planethoustonamx.com/amc-dealerships/amc-fincher-motors-miami-fl-dealer.jpg was one of the south's LARGEST AMC Dealerships based on 1974 sales volume. This photo shows salesmen out front, note, red, white & blue ties, in Autumn 1972 with new 1973 models. Look closely, you will see a NASCAR Matador poster in window, along with a blown up large great review from Car & Driver magazine about the 'all new 1973 Hornet hatchback'. Note the "AM Leasing" large sign. Colors? The Ambassador is E3 Fairway Green, the AMX D4 Cordoba Brown with tan vinyl roof, the Hornet D7 Trans Am Red, the Matador E1 Diamond Blue & Gremlin F3 Fresh Plum. How many of you remember AM dealerships like this? Eddie Stakes -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
