Hah I can finally use what little AMC knowledge I have <joke> These came out originally as a slot car and are quite collectable / rare now. The AMC in the pic appears to be one of the originals. These were reproduced / reissued as a "pull back" around the turn of the century. The repros click straight onto the slot chassis. I think the repro is probably made from a different material. There was at least 10 different reissues (I have that many) I also have several of the originals.
