[AMC-list] Anti Car legislation

 All of the problems discussed in the Can't save em all where housing developements catch up with a collection in the country, to the horribly repressive zoning without even a grandfather clause is what got me interested in politics and voting and writing letters in the first place.

 

 I KNOW I have made a difference at least once, when the city where I live was going to consider any corner lot that both sides of the lot would count as a front yard, and were going to be allowd to have no more than a 4 foot fence, and would require existing 6 foot fences to be taken down in 5 years.  giving you no privacy, or security.  I wrote a letter to the head of the planning committee , and brought up 5 or six very good logical points, and they changed thier minds SOMEWHAT.  and at least said existing fences could stay.  

 

Any of you that have a few cars probably know the problems you get if people can see in your back yard.  

 

 So, keep up with what is going on around you, and get involved..

 

Anyone remember New Jersey 10-15 years ago..

 They concocted a string of laws that were addmittedly designed to take cars away from people and force them to use public transoprtation.

 

 The Google self driving car could be a HUGE problem 20 years from now when some official decides that cars NOT driven by a computer are dangerous, and wants to outlaw them.
