[AMC-list] 4 Row Radiators

Four row core brass radiators can work just fine. I used them on a 76
Cherokee, an 83 Wagoneer and a 74 Hornet with a 258 6 in the warmish
summers we get in Phoenix. The trick is to find a radiator shop who is
willing to actually listen to you and what you want. The rows of cores
need to be about 3/8 inches apart. Next, the number of fins needs to be
less than half the number that would be installed in a "regular" one,
two or three row radiator. Too many fins in a four row radiator will
cut airflow and actually cause more overheating. With these specially
fabbed radiators, I was able to drive and tow in cool comfort at
temperatures up to 119 degrees.
