I never did follow up on his install, but I dropped a late model 258/TF into a 64 and ran into few probs. It took me a year as I detailed the engine bay black with red pinstripe. The Ford blue and chrome on the engine looked bitchin' and I always paint all moving parts fire red to stand out. Feally nice. Top it off with a PBR beer can for a coil cover and Bobs-your-uncle. -I had to install a 66 radiator suoort in the 64. Simple matter. -The fan comes very close to the radiator. I ran no fan on the engine, but installed a slim pusher fan in front of the rad. -Battery was installed in the rear. -The tranny needed the floor cut to clear the shifter and all. I hacked away as needed, installed a floor shifter from an Eagle, used sheet metal and fiberglass to make a new floor, and finished with a console from a Spirit. -The engine is real tight in there at the rear. I made a rear valve cover stud set up to access the bolt if I ever had to remove the valve cover. Everything else is easy. The wiring will be 83 specs, the brakes were from an 83 so I used the MC and prop valve. The brajke lines even lined up real close. I used the rear brakes from the 83 adapted to the 64 rear. Good project, had a blast......Russ -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
