The Hornet sold for drum roll please....$1600. Owner's words:"Since I've never sold a car in a car auction before, I asked the ladies in their office for their advice on whether to have a reserve on my car. They suggested "no reserve". I was told more people would bid on it, so that's what I went with.
Out of the 175 cars sold that day (Sunday) only 5 cars had no reserve on them. That made me pretty nervous. It turns out for good reason. One of the owner's of the car auction, Jason McCormack told me there were "likes" on my car's Facebook picture and he even got some calls on my car. That sounds like some good news, so I began to feel better. The bad news is the car sold for the high bid of $1600.00.
I was pretty upset. Jason, who was next to me was very surprised and told me he really thought it would go for more. I told the new owner he got a great deal. I had owned my Sportabout for 15 years, fixing all the little things along the way. It certainly wasn't anything close to perfect, but it was pretty nice. I got a lot of nice comments before the auction.
That was that. So now it's time to move on. " Eddie Stakes Planet Houston AMX 713.464.8825 days eddiestakes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx www.planethoustonamx.com----- Original Message ----- From: "Eddie Stakes
