I've wondered if certain Ford units could be used, since they are readily available aftermarket and "look" darn close. Maybe that's what Eddie got at O'Reilly's. They are called a "Vacuum Actuator" or "Vacuum Motor" in the parts books (Emissions Section). I noticed they are about $10-$20 bucks a pop on Rock Auto (I looked one up for an '85 LTD just for grins). I had to drill out the factory rivets on snorkle, and replace with screws but otherwise everything worked as should. And passed emissions also. I sprayed the little vent door down with some WD-40 also,. I don't remember what the parts house called it but it was not actuator, I took whole assembly up to them to check out was not problem matching it.
