[AMC-list] AMC stuff

Hi guys I finished working on my daughters 1999 mittsubishi-Dodge avenger at 8:30 tonight. Friday she called me at work and said her car wouldn't upshift and the speedo didn't work either. The problem is finaly fixed now but what a pain in the rear to work on.  The speed output sensor had died. What a learning process I went through. Who would have ever thought a automatic transmition would need a computer to tell it when to shift. This car is computer crazy. AMC content I worked on my 1977 Hornet AMX for just a couple hours and I changed the rear shocks, brakes and installed a rear sway bar in less time than it took me to change one lousy sensor on that dam Avenger. I say now that I will never cuss my AMC cars again when I am having a hard time with a part, maybe. Just blowing off some steam. Have a nice day and love our simple AMC cars.
