Great job Marc! It's amazing how we run across odd things when looking for something else. I was researching something about Borg-Warner (can't recall what now!) and ran across documentation about the BW/Ford connection, and how BW actually developed the first Ford automatics (the "xxx-O-Matics" -- FX and MX models -- culminating in the FMX). All are similar to the M-8, the M-11 and 12 are "next generation" models even though the FMX was introduced later.

You're welcome.  I established that entire section several years ago, when I happened to come across a couple of newspaper articles about Holmes Foundry while searching for something else about AMC.  Intirgued, I kept researching it until I had what is now in the Wikipedia article.
