Depending on the car, sometimes they have 2 attachment points for the master
cylinder pushrod to the brake pedal. If you have manual brakes hooked to the
power brake point it will be harder to push. With manual brakes it should be the
hole nearest the pedal pivot point. 

This may or may not apply to your car. : )
