[AMC-list] condenser

Hi guy I just bought a new coil for my 1977 Hornet AMX 401. In the instructions with the coil it said that I had to have a (radio noise suppression  condense) on my coil. I think the car had one originally but it has not had one in years. Do I need one of these and where do I get one. My local parts store guys had no idea what it is and said they cant find one. Help!  thank you .
