I tend to agree with Mark. One of the problems I see at home, the local level, is the disdain the older generation, who is supposed to be more liberal, has for the interest and hobbies spawned by import of millions of cars from Asian countries.
Even the local car club, which is now pretty much dead because of it's faults, used to vocally bash the import crowd. The interesting part is that all of those old guys didn't see the handwriting on the wall. Without the young people, the old car clubs legacy soon fades into non-existance. Had those old guy club members embraced four cylinder engines and turbos, and the huge numbers of young people that follow them, instead of continually bashing and bragging how an American V-8 is always bettter than any four cylinder turbo motor, the local club may still be viable. After all, wasn't it the old guys back in the day that drew the young guys into their speed shops to sweep the floor and learn about modifying cars? What happened to that mentality? It's not around here anymore, hopefully it's stll there where you guys live......
AMC content, I hoisted my AMC flag alongside the Stars and Stripes today. Enjoy your Fourth of July,Armand
