I would recommend having it glass bead-blasted, as it leaves a better finish quality than aluminum oxide.  I use it on all the manifolds that I clean up for resale. 
 
Here's a link to an I-6 intake, showing both before (RH side) and after (LH side) being done with glass bead.

Anyone with a bead blast cabinet and some aluminum oxide meda can do that for 
you. Find a local car club member or friend with the capability.

I have an Edelbrock R4B that I would like to have restored.  It is complete, not 
slotted, and not damaged but is dirty and has white spots of corrosion on in.  
Some of the corrosion I can see down in the runners and probably where I can't
