For cars with the moldings set into the window gaskets, you have to 
remove the gasket from the car before you can remove the moldings. It 
sounds like your gasket is shot so the best way to get everything out is 
to remove any of the trim from around the window in the inside and cut 
the gasket. Once the gasket is cut, the windshield will come out easily.
