On top of the other reasons posted you would need to make 100% sure you have "valleys" to drain paths. The cowl area in particular dumps a LOT of water down the sides and through the front of the kick/rocker panels. Any place you cut even open cell they suggest you "varnish/seal" the cut section on boats. I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee, I wonder how they designed for drainage? I've never heard anything sloshing around. ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Ken Ames" <ameskg@xxxxxxxxx> > To: "Rambler AMC, Nash, Jeep and family" <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Tuesday, October 25, 2011 4:16:31 PM > Subject: [AMC-list] Foam filled rocker panels > Thinking of filling the rocker panels on my SX4 with that > expanding-foam-in-a-can stuff to keep the saltwater out. > Any ideas about why I shouldn't do this? > Ken > _______________________________________________ > AMC-list mailing list > AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
