It depends where you live. You can no longer ship used fuel tanks (no matter how clean you make them, the sensors pick up any lingering fumes and you get a visit from the Dept of Homeland Security. Not fun I assure you! I used to soak the tanks with TSP for a week then let them dry) I will be pulling the tank from my '82 Spirit soon, but I'm close to Seattle. I messed up the sender when I swapped this tank in. Going to an XJ tank with my EFI conversion. I just need longer mounting straps as the tank is a couple inches deeper (If the car wasn't lifted I probably couldn't get away with it) I decided not to make it 4x4 (at least for now) It'll become a pre-runner (4x4 altitude and attitude without the extra traction) Jim Blair, Lynnwood, WA '87 Comanche, '83 Jeep J10, '84 Jeep J10 From: "Eddie Stakes" <eddiestakes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <baadassGremlins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: John King <jkingup@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [AMC-list] gas tank wanted spirit or sx/4 Message-ID: <75E49BF121A34072990A1710DC9A3B36@piageedc1iqa5q> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" John below is looking for a good Spirit or SX/4 gas tank, anyone have one for sale or can point him in right direction please feel free to comment and thanks in advance to all who might. They are smaller tanks than on the Eagle wagons/4 doors. I heard the Spirit tanks are also same as SX4 tanks.
